This ambitious initiative aims to support the country’s most vulnerable communities—especially those facing significant barriers to accessing quality public education. The project focuses on improving conditions in schools, basic community centers, and educational institutes across all 298 municipalities of the national territory.

During the meeting, the international organizations presented a study highlighting the urgent need to strengthen the public education system. Key priorities include addressing deficiencies in school infrastructure, improving accessibility, boosting student retention, ensuring students physical and psychological wellbeing, WASH in schools and preventing school-related violence. (prensa.cancilleria@sreci.gob.hn) Beyond transforming educational spaces, the project also integrates actions to improve basic health services, expand access to safe drinking water, and implement community water security plans resilient to climate change. These efforts aim to guarantee safer, healthier environments for Honduran children and youth.
