APPM Partners with ACTS Honduras to Strengthen WASH in Schools and Communities in Yoro located in the center-northern region of Honduras

Agua Pura Para el Mundo (APPM) is excited to announce our partnership with American, Caring, Teaching and Sharing (ACTS Honduras), a U.S.-based nonprofit with nearly 40 years of experience in rural community development. ACTS Honduras has a long history of supporting education, health, agriculture, and water projects in the Locomapa region, always working hand-in-hand with local communities to create lasting change.

APPM is training their local team of community volunteers to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in schools and communities. Our joint efforts include the installation of water filters at El Rosario School, ensuring children and teachers have safe drinking water every day. In addition, APPM will lead interactive WASH workshops with teachers, water board members, and families to strengthen knowledge and promote sustainable water security practices. ACTS has also established preventive dental care practices, fostered student enrollment, advanced agricultural techniques, and improved community health among others in that region of Honduras.

This collaboration reflects our shared belief that empowered communities, equipped with the right tools and knowledge, can transform health and resilience for generations to come.
