Agua Pura para el Mundo (APPM), in collaboration with CAWST, WASH training and consulting services, delivered an engaging Household Water Treatment Workshop (HWTW) in the municipality of CabaƱas, La Paz.
This training brought together over 25 WASH technicians and local health promoters from 5 different municipalities of La Paz to deepen their knowledge and strengthen their practical skills in ensuring safe drinking water at the household level.
Over the course of the workshop, participants:
ā¢Explored the principles of the multi-barrier approach to water safety.
⢠Practiced simple and effective water treatment methods, including chlorination and safe storage.
ā¢Reviewed strategies for distributing water disinfectants and hygiene products in rural settings.
Engaged in group discussions and hands-on exercises to apply what they learned in real-life community scenarios.
Even if we showed in this training about different methods to treat water it wasnāt just about technologyāit was about empowering local leaders to act in their own communities. With the support of CAWST as our partner, APPM continues to build local capacity and promote sustainable WASH solutions in rural Honduras.
